Below are a few FAQs we receive on a regular basis, if you have any other questions please feel free to get in touch.
How long does it take to install a heat pump?
This depends on a number of factors. In a new-build home an air source heat pump can be installed in
a couple of days. If it’s a refurbishment there are other things that you might need to take into
account too. For example are you replacing your radiators and need advice on where the outside box
might sit? Our experienced specialists will discuss and answer specific questions for you.
How long do air source heat pumps last?
Heat pumps normally last 15 years on average. Some of the newer units being manufactured today can
last a bit longer. The factor that’s most important in determining the lifespan of your heat pump is
ongoing maintenance.
Will I need planning permission to install a heat pump?
This depends on the property you live in. Should you have a large property that requires
installation of more than one heat pump, planning will be required.
